Registration Ordinance

In 2018, the Maplewood Township Committee adopted the Vacant Property Registration Ordinance (#2891-18). This regulation requires that all vacant properties/ buildings are registered with the Township of Maplewood in accordance with Maplewood Code.

Owners of a vacant property must register within 30 days after the building becomes vacant or within 30 days after assuming ownership of a vacant property.

Fee

The fee pertaining to ordinance #2891-18:

• Initial Registration: $500.00
• First Renewal: $1,500.00
• Second Renewal: $2,000.00
• Subsequent Renewal: $5000.00
