The Division of Disability Services (DDS) provides a single point-of-entry for people seeking disability related information in New Jersey. DDS serves individuals with all disabilities, statewide. Their comprehensive New Jersey Resources Directory details programs and services they offer to New Jersey residents, caregivers, and advocates.

The New Jersey Council on Disabilities provides a platform for individuals, family members, advocates, and public and private agencies to develop a coordinated social policy for advancing the rights and opportunities of New Jersey residents with developmental disabilities.

One of the resources they provide is a Family Crisis Handbook for individuals and families seeking information and assistance in addressing dual diagnosis (developmental/intellectual disability and mental health). The guide describes how to navigate the system and defines the key players and their roles in connecting families and individuals to service options.

New Jersey Relay & CapTel are no-cost services to enable people who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, DeafBlind or have a Speech Disability to make and receive phone calls. Click on the link to explore their services and determine which one best meets your needs!
