The goals of the Tax Assessor's Office are to:

• Manage Added Assessments
• Defend Tax Appeals
• Maintain Fair and Equitable Assessments
• Processing of Deeds
• Maintain Tax Map

The Office of the Tax Assessor maintains the ratable base for the township, creating fair, equitable and accurate assessments for all properties. Guided by the New Jersey Constitution as well as The Division of Taxations Administrative Code and the Essex County Board of Taxation.
